#What a suspension means
If Resonate suspends your account, a bar at the top of the app says so, and you get an Account notice in your notifications. The notice gives the reason category (for example a terms violation, fraud, abuse or a rights infringement) and the end date if there is one. It never includes the operator's private notes.
While you are suspended you cannot make changes: uploading, listing, buying, pledging, posting and similar actions are refused with a message that your account is suspended. A suspension with an end date lifts by itself on that date. A closed account stays restricted for good.
#What still works
- Signing in and reading your own data and notices.
- Claiming any refund you are owed. A suspension never traps your money.
- Listening to music. Your plays still play, but while your account is restricted they do not count: they add nothing to play counts, rankings or recommendations.
- Downloading your data and asking for your account to be deleted.
#How to appeal
There is no in-app appeal yet. To contest a suspension or closure, contact support using the details on the Imprint & contact page, and quote the date in your notice.
