#Where notices appear
Notices appear in the notification bell when you are signed in, each labelled with its category: Policy, Terms, Incident, Moderation, Account or Refund. A policy, terms or incident notice also shows as a bar at the top of the app until you dismiss it. Dismissing it marks it read; it stays in your notifications.
Notices are kept, so you still see one that was sent while you were away or before you signed up. Read state is yours alone and follows your account, not your device.
#Get notices by email
If you want notices to reach you when you are not in the app, add an email address. It is optional (your account never needs one), it is used only for platform notices, and it is never used for marketing or to sign in. Adding it links the address to your account, and so to your wallet, in our records only: it is never shown publicly or put on-chain, and removing it deletes it. Every notice stays in the app whether or not you add one.
- Open Settings and choose Email notices.
- Enter your address and choose Send confirmation.
- Open the link in the email we send. It works for 24 hours; if it expires, choose Resend confirmation.
- Once it is confirmed, choose which kinds of notice to receive by email.
Nothing is emailed to an address until you confirm it. Changing the address means confirming the new one, and until you do, notices reach you in the app only. Remove the address in the same place at any time.
Every other email has a link at the bottom to stop that kind of notice. Opening the link shows a button, and nothing changes until you choose Stop these emails. Your mail app may also offer its own unsubscribe button. You can switch the kind back on in Settings.
If emails to your address bounce, or the address reports one as unwanted, we stop sending to it and say so in Settings. Add a different address to start again.
#If a moderator acts on your content
When a moderator removes a community message you posted, or removes or bans you from a community room after reviewing a reported message, you get one Moderation notice. It names the room, says what was done, and gives the reason category. It never includes the reporter's words or the moderator's private notes.
If a copyright complaint against one of your tracks is upheld, the track and its stems are removed and the person who manages the release gets one Moderation notice. It names the track and release and says the reason was a copyright complaint. It never shows who complained or what they wrote. You cannot file a counter-notice in the app yet.
