#Verification tiers
These signals answer different questions and are not interchangeable. Account trust can make a publishing route smoother, but every release keeps its own rights state.
- Account trust
- Independent Account Trust, Trusted Creator, and Trusted Source Account describe the account route and its controls. They do not clear rights for a particular release.
- Human/personhood
- Human Verified means the wallet passed a personhood or anti-sybil check. It does not prove music ownership or publishing authority.
- Provenance
- Self-Attested On-Chain records the creator wallet's statement about a release. Fingerprint Cleared means configured checks found no conflicting match. Neither is independent rights approval.
- Economic trust
- Verified Economic Tier and stake/escrow signals describe economic controls and account history. They do not prove release rights.
- Release-scoped rights review
- Rights Verified is reserved for a release whose submitted evidence was reviewed and supports likely recording ownership or publishing authority. Other release states can be under review, approved with limits, denied, or disputed.
Marketplace listing and payout eligibility use release-scoped rights and policy gates. A human check, self-attestation, account tier, or technical provenance signal cannot substitute for that review.
#Staking & trust signals
Artists can lock a stake to stand behind a release's authenticity. That stake powers the public trust signals shown on release and stem pages, and it can be at risk if a valid claim proves the content was misattributed.
#Trusted sources & distributors
Labels and distributors can request trusted-source status to onboard artists at scale. Requests are reviewed by operators, and approvals or revocations update the relevant accounts' publishing rights.
