#The six rules
Home and the AI DJ pick music with one shared recommendation engine. Whatever it suggests passes through the same six rules before you see it.
- 1. What you say comes first
- If you hide a genre, a mood or an artist, it stays hidden, whatever else the engine thinks. Things you asked to see less of are ranked lower.
- 2. No fully AI-generated tracks unless you ask
- Music that is entirely AI-generated is left out of your recommendations unless you explicitly asked for AI music. Tracks with some AI assistance keep their disclosure label.
- 3. Room for new artists
- About one pick in five (and at least one per page or session) is reserved for a verified human artist you have never played, chosen because they sound close to your taste. These picks say "Discovery pick".
- 4. Variety
- You get at most two tracks by the same artist per page, or per ten tracks in an AI DJ session.
- 5. Every pick says why
- Each recommendation carries a short reason, such as a vibe you chose, your learned taste, or a discovery pick. Reasons describe your taste in general and never list another listener's history.
- 6. Ranking is never for sale
- Nobody can pay to move a track up. Having stems for sale, a promotion or a partnership never changes where a track appears in your recommendations.
#What this means for artists
Your music reaches listeners because it fits their taste, not because of what you sell. Listing stems for sale does not raise your tracks in recommendations. If you are a verified human artist, new listeners whose taste is close to yours can meet your music through discovery picks.
#Your controls
You can hide or downrank genres, moods and artists, ask for more of a genre or mood, tell us in your own words what you want more or less of (you see and confirm every change first), choose whether AI DJ playback trains your taste, and reset your taste at any time from Settings. See Settings & privacy controls.
